Or put another way: what “moving done simply” means for the customer
Anyone who needs to master a complex business relocation, an intricate archive move, an extensive house move to a different part of town or an important storage mission will want some good advice on which removal company to go with.

One of the most important criteria when they come to making their decision will undoubtedly be the references and experience that a company has to show for itself.

w. wiedmer ag offers its customers “moving done simply” and, by extension, “storage done simply” as well.

This is its promise and guarantee to take a real load off the customer’s shoulders. It starts with detailed preparations and in-depth planning, extends through to a realistic breakdown of costs, is demonstrated in the service provided and culminates in the successful completion of the project.

Our years of experience from many projects and customer-specific challenges shines through in our day-to-day work. Being good is OK. But improving is even better...

Three recent examples from real life:

Cantonal Supreme Court of Zurich

Moving the archives and library, including packing and unpacking. Sites: 5 pick-up locations. Quantities: 3,700 metres of archive contents, 500 metres of books, dismantling and reassembling archive racks. 1,000 book boxes, 600 file boxes, 80 rolls of adhesive tape, 500 plastic containers, 11,500 labels.

The sensitive archive contents and books were collected from five different sites across Zurich and taken to the renovated Cantonal Supreme Court of Zurich building on Hirschengraben in the city.

The biggest challenge lay in bringing all the documents together in the right order from the various pick-up locations, which necessitated countless trips to each one. The move was also not allowed to disturb the court’s day-to-day work. Everyone was well aware of how disastrous it would be if any files were lost! However, careful planning, excellent teamwork and a flexible approach ensured that all the objectives were met by some considerable margin.

Bülach District Court

Moving offices and archives. Quantities: 70 workstations, 1,600 metres of archive contents including packing and unpacking, dismantling and reassembling archive racks. Shortening archive racks, relocating workstations and courtrooms, disposing of 10 tonnes’ worth of furniture.

7 apartment blocks containing 138 rental flats

Removals forming part of a complete refurbishment project from June 2011 to December 2012. Around 625 m3 of interim storage. Over 8,000 mof items moved. Around 9,000 removal boxes. Besides the move itself, the work also involved planning and organising its various phases, keeping tenants up to date and making packaging material available in local depots. Most tenants stayed in their flats during the refurbishment, which necessitated a lot of internal changes. Some of the items being moved were stored at w. wiedmer ag for two to three months.
